Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 3 3/4 cups all purpose flour plus extra for kneading the dough.
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2/3 of a cake of cake yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
1. Crumble the cake yeast into the 1-1/2 cups of warm water, stir and set aside.
2. Stir the flour and salt together in a bowl.
3. Add the olive oil and the water/yeast mixture to the flour, mix by hand until you have
a dough ball.
4. Knead the dough on a flat, floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
5. Put dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover tightly, and let rise for 1 1/2 to 2
hours until dough has doubled in size.
6. Split dough into halves (for 2 large crusts) or fourths (for 4 individual sized
crusts) and roll each section into a ball, flatten by hand (do not use a rolling pin) and
drape with covering on your flat surface. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
7. By hand, pull the dough into it’s final shape (large and round). Do not use a rolling
pin, which squeezes the carbon dioxide out of the dough and results in a very boring
crust.
8. Top with your favorite toppings, and cook in a preheated 450 degree oven on baking
tiles or a pizza stone for about 10 minutes, or until toppings are done.
Enjoy.

Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1 pre-made vegan pizza crust (large sized)
- 1 medium sized tomato (sliced)
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (drained)
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- salt, pepper, onion powder (for taste)
- 2 cups of vegan mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 can crushed pineapple (drained)
- any and all veggies that you would like
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400.
In a sauce pan (on medium heat) add the
can of drained tomatoes. Use a large
spoon to get the tomatoes into smaller
chunks.
Crush the garlic and mix it into the tomatoes.
Flavor with salt, pepper, and onion
powder to your liking.
Spread the tomato sauce onto the
crust. Add half of the ‘vegan cheese’ to
the sauce.
Add the tomato slices, the entire
can of crushed pineapple (drained), the veggies
that you chose. Top it off with
the rest of the ‘vegan cheese’.
Once you’ve added all the
toppings, put it directly on the center
oven rack, and bake for 15-20 min.
The vegan cheese should be golden brown
and yummy.
***This pizza is really basic. You
can add any sauce and toppings you like. The
pineapple adds a nice sweet taste that kids like!!! Remember, color is key
to making food fun!***

Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- pre-made pizza crust or home made pizza dough
- 1/2 of 796ml canned diced tomato
- 2 oz firm tofu, cut into small cubes
- red onion to taste
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon basil
- diced red bell pepper to taste
- pineapple, diced (optional)
- as much soy cheese as you want
Directions:
If using homemade dough, roll it out
into the desired shape (rectangle,
circle, etc.
Sauce: blend the tomato in a food
processor. After adding tofu, blend
until smooth. Stir in oregano and Basil,
and set aside.
Pizza: brush sauce onto crust using bbq
sauce brush. Sprinkle on other
ingredients and place in oven,
preheated at 425 degrees. Bake until
vegan cheese is melted for pre-baked pizza
crust; and bake 15-25 minutes for pizza
dough. Serve and enjoy!
Note: it’s a good idea to put the
pineapple on the very top, since it has
a tendency to make the crust soggy.

Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 4 cups flour (I generally use whole wheat)
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package yeast
- 2 teaspoons vegan sugar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, and salt together. Dissolve yeast in water and add
to flour mixture. Stir until dough has absorbed all water then add
olive oil. Mix until dough is not sticky, adding water or flour as
necessary (should not need much of either using the above amounts).
Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes then place in a covered bowl in a
warm draft free area for 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in
size. Then knead for 2 or 3 more minutes and let rise 20 minutes
more.
Now roll the dough out. The above recipe should make enough crust for
one 16″ deep dish pizza or two 16″ regular pizzas. Either way, roll
out two 16″ crusts. For deep dish, put the first one in the pan, then
add tomato sauce, veggies, and tons of soy cheese. Then place your second
crust over this and pinch the two crusts together. Add a top layer of
tomato sauce and another ton of soy cheese. Now cook in a hot oven ( 500
degrees or more) for 20-30 minutes.

Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1 Tbs. yeast
- 1 tsp. vegan sugar
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 3 Tbs. whole wheat flour
- 3 cups white bread flour
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 Tbs. applesauce
Directions:
put bread machine on white bread - manual setting and dump
ingredients in according to your machine’s preferences
when cycle is all done, remove and separate into 3-4 balls of dough.
Place on floured wax paper and let rise for about 20 mins. more (add
a little flour if dough is too sticky). Shape, top, and bake til done
in a very hot oven (mine goes to 550 degrees).
Notes: When I didn’t have cornmeal, I substituted whole wheat flour
and it worked just as well. Also, the first time I made it, I had to
use oil (my kids had eaten all of the applesauce) — it worked just
the same, so the substitution of applesauce seems to make no real
difference in taste, texture, or appearance.
