Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 2 cups cooked (or 1 can) of chickpeas
- juice of 1 large lemon
- 1 teaspoon tahini (sesame butter)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 cup water
Directions:
Blend chickpeas with lemon juice and half cup of
water. When all the peas are crushed, add in the
spices and tahini. Blend more so everything is
well-mixed. Add in more water to desired
consistency. Salt to your desired taste. Just
before serving, drizzle a little bit more olive
oil and sprinkle fresh ground pepper.
Serves: 3-4
